Child harassment has been a predominant factor within today’s as much as yesterday’s ferocious community both at urban and rural level. The child abuse can be physical, emotional, sexual, neglect, and exploitation. Quite miserably the abuse takes place at homes, schools, orphanages, residential care facilities, and even on the streets and inside prisons. It goes without saying that harassment have adverse impact on the overall development on the child’s development as a result critically influences the child’s potential and performance impairing their mental, physical and social being. Child abuse in India has always remained a hidden phenomenon especially when it happens in the home or by family members, though this phenomenon is prevalent all over the world.
